Dear Sir
Thank you for your letter of yesterday.
I'm sending my reply to the Rue de l'Université so that you will get it hopefully on Sunday morning.
AERO & MAISONS [Houses] contracts: attached is the letter which you asked me for.
My contract for the English edition of RAFFY.
As you told me that you agree that the English edition of this book should be sold by Chatto & Windus world-wide apart from the United States, I signed a contract with C & W containing that condition.
RAFFY - original in New York. Have you already offered C & W to find a buyer for the American edition - on the basis of copyright at 4.5% as we contracted to do on Monday afternoon? If not, please do so or leave instructions to that effect with the N.R.F in case of your absence. If you or C & W do not manage to find a buyer, I would like the original to be returned.
Would you please therefore keep me advised...
