Dear Folks:
Please thank everybody for the money - it should do just fine. Today is the State Convention in Jackson of the FDP.
Afterwards I'll be working on some projects here (e.g. getting a group of parents to meet with school officials about what will be included in a new school being built).
I'll also be helping to set up some strong contacts in Tunica County so that SNCC worker can move in in the fall to set up a project. Tunica has 13,000 Negroes and 3,000 whites - highest ratio in the State. Of 6,000 eligible, 22 Negroes vote. There are, though, some very strong people up there - could develop into a good project.
August is here - I plan on leaving 21st - either for Convention or New York.
See you soon.
Love and Freedom,
Mat
