Description	From the Randall (Herbert) Freedom Summer Photographs; Local people mingle with Freedom Summer volunteers at the fish fry given for the volunteers by local civil rights leader Vernon Dahmer on his property in the Kelly Settlement, to the north of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on July 4, 1964. The woman to the far left with her back to the camera is Freedom School teacher Susan Patterson. Two Hattiesburg residents occupy the remainder of the foreground: Marie Blalock (center) and Addie Ruth White (right). To the right of the truck, Freedom School teacher and Coordinator of the COFO-Hattiesburg Freedom Libraries Nancy Ellin stands holding a plate; and to her right sits her husband, Freedom School teacher Joseph Ellin, on the right side of the truck's tailgate. The woman in a kerchief to the left of the truck is Freedom School teacher Denise Jackson.
