Petersburg November the 7 1863 My Dear Caroline, I have got to leave. I do nowe where we are to go two. We recieved marching orders a go. I am in hopse we will not get to worse place than is. If we do get to the Yankees I will do the best I can for myself. Some say we are going to Wistom, Virginia. I herd this morning that the Yankees was advancing on Lewisburg.
