Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection; Cartoon by Roy Peterson. Uncle Sam is in the process of shoveling rock out of the bottom of a deep hole that he has dug in a cliff face. His digging has left a precarious, barely supported tower of rock, on which Richard Nixon stands, facing away from the cliff. Nixon's arms are raised, and he makes the V for Victory sign with both hands. On the cliff, a dump truck labeled "Mid-East crisis" is dumping more rocks into the hole on top of Uncle Sam. The cartoon caption reads, "Brinkmanship."
