Uncle Sam drives a stage coach, inside of which are a trunk labeled "U.S. gold" and a person with a head shaped like a U.S. coin. The coin is labeled "U.S. $ [dollar]." The stage is pursued by a gang of bandits labeled "European gold speculators" who are riding on horses and shooting handguns at Uncle Sam. At the back of the gang is a bandit labeled "de Gaulle." In the background, another bandit labeled "Devaulation" holds up a man with a coin head who is labeled "British sterling." The cartoon caption reads, "The chase."
