Richard Nixon, dressed as a football player with "U.S." on the helmet, is the lone football player against four smaller players with Asian features and the hammer and sickle symbol on their uniforms. One of them is labeled "Hanoi." Nixon carries a football labeled "Troop withdrawals and de-escalation" and he is trying to make his way to the far end of the field, where the goal is labeled "End of Viet war." The cartoon caption reads, "Goal still far away."
