Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by John Stampone. In the first of four frames, Richard Nixon is drawn to resemble a small girl walking to school wearing a dress and broad-brimmed hat. From one hand, he holds the end of the strap tied around schoolbooks. The schoolhouse is just over the horizon, and the bell above the building rings "G.O.P. presidential convention plans." In the second frame, Nixon has stopped and is looking over his shoulder, a question over his head. The bell is no longer ringing. In the third, Nixon is walking the other direction, away from the school. In the last frame, he has dropped the books to the ground and is pulling hard at the leash attached to a lamb’s collar. The lamb is labeled “Rockefeller vice-president refusal.”
