Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by John Stampone. The U.S. Capitol building has been renovated into an amusement park or carnival. A carousel labeled "Merry go around" and observation telescopes have been added to the dome, which is labeled "See Washington from the dome." Signs are abundant: "Tunnel of fun, Curb service ring bell, Tickets inside, Souvenirs, Haunted house, Restaurant, Photos with your Congressman, Ride the Congressional subway, Motel in-door pool, See Congress in Panavision." A pediment over part of the building shows a broadcast from the Congress in session. A flag labeled "U.S. Capitol-land in session" flies from a pole atop the pediment. Tables and chairs for diners dot the open area, and carnival workers with balloons to sell stand ready. In the foreground, Uncle Sam gestures toward the scene and speaks to a man labeled "Capitol's non-architect." The architect is holding a paper with the words "Plans to change west front of Capitol." Uncle Sam says, "Since you're bent on ruining it, let's do it up right."
