Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. This cartoon has two parts. In one part, President Lyndon Johnson in Western clothing sits at his desk at the LBJ Ranch in Texas. The desk has many scattered papers and a rustic name plate with "Texas White House" on it. Johnson is scratching his head as he looks at a very thick book labeled "Another guns and butter budget?" It has two bookmarks with the words, "Built-in deficits...Great Society spending programs for '69 fiscal year." In the second part is a globe with lines of longitude and latitude. A dollar sign with feet is near the top of the globe along with the words, "Keep the dollar strong--curtail world travel." The cartoon caption reads, "Meanwhile, back at the ranch."
