A large ship labeled "U.S. fiscal policies" is sailing through water in which floats three warning buoys and an iceberg. The buoys have signs: "Financial crisis--Federal Reserve Board...Danger...Sailors beware." The iceberg is labeled, "Economic dangers." The cartoon caption reads, "Warning signs are out." [Note on date: Manuscript entry in bottom margin of the cartoon: Friday, May 3. During 1968 and 1974, May 3 was on Friday.]
