Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. The footboard of a bedstead is labeled, "Vietnam controversy." In the bed are four figures, from left to right: a donkey in pajamas, a hawk with a rocket in its beak, a dove with an olive branch in its beak, and an elephant in pajamas. The eagle appears angry and the dove appears frightened. The donkey and elephant appear confused or thoughtful. From behind the headboard of the bed, a man who appears to be a soldier of the Roman Empire pushes forward a shape labeled, "Middle East involvement?" and says, "Move over...there's always room for one more." The cartoon caption reads, "Strange bedfellows."
