Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. An old man on the right side of the cartoon has a very long beard, the end of which is being held by a hand on the left side of the cartoon. The beard is labeled, "More Mississippi River bridges issue." Above the end of the beard are the words, "Measured, it reaches from Chalmette to Huey P. Long Bridge, both sides." The cartoon caption reads, "Growth of a controversy." [Note on date: Manuscript entry in bottom margin of the cartoon: Saturday, June 8. During 1968 and 1974, June 8 was on Saturday.]
