Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. A man driving a car labeled, "Congress" is driving along an unprotected road high on the side of a cliff. A sign pointing to the road ahead reads, "Raise taxes" but it is blocked by a pile of rocks labeled, "Admin.'s surtax." The only way to continue driving is to make a sharp turn off the main road onto a very short piece of road that ends with a fall off the cliff and a sign that reads, "Still deeper deficit." The man in the car is looking down the cliff with alarm. The cartoon caption reads, "Main and alternate routes."
