Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. A man who is labeled, "Warmth of compassion for others" on the arm of his coat also wears a large round pin on his coat front with a check mark and the words, "fair share giving." His two hands are on the bulb of a large thermometer that is part of a fund raising sign which is mounted on a brick wall. The man's hands radiate warmth to the thermometer bulb, which is labeled, "Needs of the less fortunate." Words on the thermometer are "All-time high goal of $4,312,000 for the four-parish N.O. area...United Fund...57 agencies." The top of the thermometer The top of the thermometer has burst from the rising mercury, and above this are the words, "Over the top by Oct. 18." The cartoon caption reads, "Its success depends on helping hands."
