Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. New Orleans mayor Victor H. Schiro and Louisana governor John J. McKeithen stand on opposite sides of a fireplace with two large stockings hanging from the mantle. One is labeled, "N.O. needs" and the other "State needs." On the hearth are the words, "Call for new taxes." The cartoon caption reads, "The stockings were hung by the chimney with care."
