Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. A man labeled, "Retired Army Provost Marshal Turner" [Major General Carl C. Turner] is sitting at a table under an interrogation lamp. The table is full of handguns and rifles. Beside the table are two men looking on, one of which holds a paper labeled, "Senate hearings." Turner appears distressed as he speaks. The cartoon caption reads, "He didn't know the guns were loaded." [Note: Turner was provost marshal general of the Army from 1964-1968 and chief U.S. marshal for six months during 1969. U.S. Senate investigations probed Army graft and procurement of more than 400 firearms from the Chicago police department under false pretenses.]
