Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by John Stampone. Richard Nixon stands on the bridge of an aircraft carrier labeled "6th fleet." He is dressed as a naval deckhand might be dressed, but the clothing does not appear to be a uniform. He is holding a sheet of paper labeled "Era of negotiations." The barrels of two large guns labeled "Soviet sea power build-up" are trained on Nixon. The carrier is off the coast of a landmass labeled Middle East, and on the horizon is a lineup of eleven missiles. One is labeled "Soviet missile power build-up" and the others have the hammer and sickle symbol. In the shadow of the missiles is a silhouette of city buildings (mosque and minarets?). The cartoon caption reads, "View from the bridge."
