Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. The barrel of a huge cannon labeled "Growing war in Vietnam" is pointing almost straight up, and a young woman labeled "World peace" with a laurel wreath on her head sits on its rim as if to jump down into the barrel. She climbed up to the rim of the barrel by a ladder, the top of which can be seen behind the cannon. Above her in a gray area of the sky are the words, "Korean threat." The cartoon caption reads, "Hope springs eternal."
