The birds portray President Lyndon Johnson, French prime minister Charles de Gaulle, Soviet premier Aleksey Kosygin, and British prime minister Harold Wilson. A sign attached to the pole reads, "Hotline club." A live wire has become unattached from the pole and is emitting sparks. The wire's shape spells out the word, "Red China."
