Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. Uncle Sam, dressed as a miner, is standing beside a mine cart and pick-axe outside the entrance of a mine. Inside is the mine shaft, and from the entrance extends the railway on which the cart sits. The mine entrance is in the side of a stadium structure with many flags around the top. Above the mine entrance are the five rings of the Olympic games and a sign that reads, "Calif. gold rush." Uncle Sam's shirt is dovered with medals., and he is smiling. The cartoon caption reads, "84'er."
