Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Vic Runtz. The scene is an artist's studio. A painting of the U.S. Capitol dome is on the easel and is labeled, "The Capitol scene." The drape is hanging from one edge of the painting. In the foreground are a supply cabinet, brushes, and a palette labeled "Ev Dirksen's career." Tubes of paint are on another table. Runtz's signature cat is in the lower right. It wears a painter's smock and says, "Lasting brushmarks in civil rights legislation, the test ban treaty..." The cartoon caption reads, "He added a lot of color."
