Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. A woman is riding in a canoe labeled "World's Fair" that is floating down a river. In one hand, she holds an umbrella with "84" and the exposition's river image on it; in her other hand she holds an oar in the water, but she is not using it to steer the canoe. Her expression is anxious as the canoe moves toward a rocky part of the river labeled "Financial shoals." A man labeled "The state" is standing on rocks out from the riverbank, and he extends a branch toward her.
