Description	cartoon by John Stampone; A giant polar bear sits on top of a guard house that is situated in front of a barbed wire fence. The bear is wearing boots and a hat, and it holds a bone labeled "Czechs" in its big paws. A rifle is slung across his shoulder and a cuff on his upper arm is marked with a hammer and sickle.NATO" is written above the doorway of the guard house, and a notice posted to the side of the guard house reads "Detente instructions" The structure of the guard house has begun to crack under the weight of the bear. An armed soldier that has discovered the bear looks over his shoulder and yells "Corporal of the guard".
