Description	From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by John Stampone. In the upper half of the cartoon, Uncle Sam is dressed as a soldier. Holding a rife, he is walking in the direction indicated by a sign that reads "The war." Behind him is a Vietnamese military officer labeled "Saigon" who points in the direction of the war and says, "Lead the way." In the lower half of the cartoon Uncle Sam, dressed in his usual clothing, holds a briefcase labeled "Negotiation hopes" and walks in the direction indicated by a sign that reads "Paris talks." The Vietnamese officer has reversed direction, motions for Uncle Sam to follow, and says, "Follow me." Uncle Sam does a double take.
