Letter, Rayford Lee Bourn to Nancy Ellin; September 9, 1964
Transcript
9/9/64
Hello Nancy,
I know you feel relaxed after leaving the state of "Brotherly Love??"
Truly, everything is very quiet at the present time. We are having more bus harassments, and more intimidations toward some of our prominent citizens. This is brotherly love, (smile).
Well, it is about time for me to be leaving the "burg" for school. I just know I will be missing plenty [of] excitement. Things to come: 1) A school walkout to get teachers registered, 2) selected buying, etc.
Don't forget to buy an Ebony Magazine - September's issue. I hope to write you again. After I arrive on Campus.
Your morning Reporter (Bourn's Gro.)
Rayford Lee Bourn
P.S. Tell Joe I send my regards.
