I seat myself this morning to let you know that I am yet in the land of the liveing. We are all well today that is preasant. We have lost twelve men of the the killed & wounded. Only three of that number killed. That was the three that I mentioned in my last letter. I herd yesterday that my brother Bengemen was killed at or near Milford Station. I herd Henry Dicinson talking about his being such a good soalder & now the pore boy is gone. John Belcher was captured so they say. Some of his Company told me that he was captured. Pore Jabez & Henry was both killed in less than two weeks and all that can be sed about them is pore fellows. They died in good case. That is pore consolation to their
