Dear Caroline,
I said something on the other sheet of paper that I filled this about making tobacco. You sed in you letter that TJ Morrison bought to me about making tobacco. You asked what you must make any or not. You stated people told you that they were going to taxt the people fifteen dollers on evry hundred weight they made. If that is the case, you had better not make more. You had better have the land planted in corn. You can have the land coultered up, have the roots picked nisely & if you can get plants, you can have the second. If I had some here I could sell it yeas land planted tobacco.
