Transcript	[Top portion of the page has been torn off] Dear Car, I take the opportunity riting a few lines to inform yew that I am yet well. Hoping when those few lines reaches yew, yew will be enjoying the same blessing. I have no know news to rite. I understand that two hundred of our prisoners come to Ritchmond yesterday to be exchanged for Yankeys. I do not know whether it is so or not. If it is so I shel be verry glad to get shet of garding them. One half of our Regment reported sick this morning. Seven of our Conpany has got the mumps.
