Transcript	July the 12, 63 Camp near Williamsport Washington County, Maryland My Dear Caroline, I take the pleasureful opportunity of writing you a few lines to inform you that I am enjoying good health at preasent whoping when these few lines comes to hand you may be enjoying the same blessing. I have no good news to write. Our devision will [be] broken up. I do not nowe what devision we will be assign to. Our devision went in to the fight with seventeen hundred & sixteen men, or at least our brigade went in to the fight with seventeen hundred sixteen men in it. Come out with three hundred & sixteen missing. Killed and wounded seventeen.
