I have bin on the march ever since last Sunday eavening. You may gess I was pretty well broken down. I had as live try to catch a read fox as to try to catch up with Jackson army. I herd that Jackson has got in ther at Manassas Junction. Jeneral Andersons devision is on the march to surport Jackson. I reckon we will get in the fight soon. Jackson has captured seven hundred prisoners and a large qantity comissary stores. I could not get anyone on the carers to bring to army with me. I want one from Henry or Franklin Pittisylvania over forty five years old. They will not take any faroners. They will all run away. If I can get a harty looking man from Patrick Henry, or Franklin or Pittisylvania, Capt. Lester ses he will take one over thirty five but I the men over that age will be drafted in a short time. Get you brother Wash to see if he can find some man that will make a soldier, over the age of forty five. Tell Wash if he will get a man and bring him to me, I will pay him for his trouble. I cant content myself here. I cant tell you wher to dyrect you letters more than the same way that you dyrected them before
