Dear Sister,
I received you kind favor of the 5th inst, the perusul of which gave me great satisfaction. It reached Camp on the 10th but I was out on Picket. Started the morning of the 10th, and got back a few minutes ago. I was taken verry sick last night with the diarrhuea and headache. I had to ride back today in the wagon but do feel much better than I did this morning. I was speaking about Col. Haston bringing his wife down. She is down here now staying at a private hous near the Junction.
