Blest be the dear uniting love
That will not let us part
Our bodies may far off remove
We still are joined in heart
I made use of the pronoun we. I only refer to myself. I don't mean you for I am
not acquainted with you. I have heard bad news from you in Danvill. They tell me you
was the cheerfulest man that was along. if you was, it is more than you was at home. For you looked liked a man in the fires. I've but a few more words to say on the subject.
That is I only wish I had never been born in this world for Christ sake Amen.
Write to me. Write to me for that is all that keeps me alive. I never had a faithful
friend. Oh that 1 had a bossom friend.
Don't let any person see this. They might think you was going beside yourself.
Mind what you write so I must close by saying farewell. .
