prospectus
discusses
issues
such
as
goals
of the
Mississippi
Freedom
Schools

objectives
of the
community
centers
that will be
established
throughout
the
state
, and the
deployment
of
voter
registration
workers
.
Four
special
projects
,
collectively
titled
the "
Research
Project
" a
program
designed
to
promote
research
on
political
and
economic
life
in
Mississippi
, are
described
. The
purpose
of the
Legal
project
was to
assist
law
students
in
fighting
the
laws
of
Mississippi
that
denied
the
rights
of
African
Americans
in the
state
. The
White
Communities
project
was
designed
to
destroy
the
hatred
and
bigotry
portrayed
towards
African
Americans
by
many
white
neighborhoods
in
Mississippi.

Drama
Department
sponsored
the
Theater
project

which
began
in
Jackson
