Sun. morning
Dear Dad,
It's been so good to have your letters, and it was good to talk with you the other night. I hope you had a good trip to Holstein [1]; are the grandparents okay? Also hope you had a relaxing time yesterday with the Porterfields. I have been trying to get some "clues" about when the time would be best for you to come - most interesting for you, etc. The health team doesn't come 'till Aug. 1st, as far as I know, but I'm going to speak with Doc Henry (Aaron) about the whole deal today. I suggest that we'd be into our programs better next week than the coming one, if these are both the best weeks for you, but this week is fine too, because there's always a lot going on. On the other hand, perhaps you'd enjoy traveling down with Dean or the Shattucks when they come in Aug. As things are going now, I'd like to stay 'till at least the middle of or end of August.
I must write to Mother and the boys. Shall try to do it today.
