Dear Dad,
Thanks so much for your letter and for forwarding the other one. I am sort of "scantily" doing this diary business, but am sending you what I have. I'm still trying desperately to write to the newspapers. It's vitally important. I'm also writing Senator Curtis.
I hope you saw the CBS TV show tonight (Wed.). It was so much better than last week. Please also watch on Sunday (morning?).
Tomorrow we begin to actually clean out our "new" Community Center building. Tonight at our Mass Meeting (weekly; this was our first) Aaron Henry got volunteers for this and other projects. He's Pres. of State NAACP and COFO - was a close friend of Medgar Evers.
Our house is very comfortable. The kids [other volunteers] in our Clarksdale project are so excellent - And the people in the community are warm, welcoming - kind and good to us all.
