My Dear Sallie,
I again write you thinking as heretofore that this will be the last opportunity I will have of sending you a letter till we make this hard, difficult and arduous campaign.
We have been waiting for the weather to clear up for more than two weeks and gathering supplies preparatory to moving into middle Tennessee. Orders to move have been repeatedly issued and so often countermanded on account of the weather, but we have just received our orders to move tomorrow morning, and although the weather is dark, cloudy, misting cold rain, roads bad, etc., still I think we will move tomorrow as we can't afford longer to stay here as Sherman has left us, gone back
