My Dear Sallie,
I received your favor of the 19th instant yesterday and was truly glad to hear from you and that you were well. I received Mr. Johnson's letter Saturday saying to me you had arrived. I also saw Sam Myers who informed me you had arrived. You seem to be particularly anxious to get back to Corinth, but I think you need hardly expect to return as we will undoubtedly leave here in a few days, perhaps for Tuscumbia and perhaps for Virginia. I can't tell, but we will be certain to leave for some point. If for Virginia, I will telegraph to Brandon.
