Yours of the 19th, Inst. came duly to hand by the mail of the 20th, and has been carefully perused and considered and I concur in your opinions – 1st that my communication contained matters of great importance, of deep moment, and deserves the gravest thought and consideration – aye! serious deliberation; 2ndly, expressions of feelings on paper forms an unsatisfactory and imperfect method of ascertaining one’s disposition and temperament which in matter of this kind are supremely important.
