Biography
Mr. Terry Allen Broadus was born on October 11, 1938 to Howard William and Nettie Ruth Broadus. Mr. Broadus enrolled at Perkinston Agricultural High School in 1952 and later received a baseball scholarship to attend Perkinston Junior College.
In the late 1960s, Mr. Broadus worked as a contractor and opened his own business, Compass Construction Company. When Hurricane Camille hit in 1969, Mr. Broadus left his work on the St. Andrew's subdivision to help with the cleaning up in the aftermath of the storm. As the Road Manager for Harrison County, he is responsible for the upkeep of thousands of miles of roads and roadside ditches.
In his spare time Mr. Broadus enjoys automobile racing, both as a spectator and participant, and country dancing. He has six children, twelve grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren.
