Biography
Mr. Kenneth O. Williams was born January 18, 1924, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, where he continues to live today. His parents were Peter and Robbie Mae Williams.
Mr. Williams is a graduate of Bobo High School in Clarksdale and received a bachelor of arts in political science from Vanderbilt University. He served in the U. S. Army for three years and fought in the World War II with the 291st Field Artillery Observation Battalion in the European theater of operations. For his service, he was awarded the Bronze Star.
A farmer and a businessman, Mr. Williams also served as a Mississippi elected official. He was a state representative from 1960 until 1984 and served in the state senate from 1988 until 1993. He has served as director of the Delta Wholesale Hardware Co., Jonestown Peanut Corporation, Jonestown Elevator, Inc., and United Southern Bank. He is a partner in the farming business of P. F. Williams and Sons.
Mr. Williams is a member of the Clarksdale Baptist Church and is involved in the Delta Council, the Coahoma County Chamber of Commerce, the Farm Bureau, and Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He is married to Frances Lott, and they have one daughter, Frances W. Stewart. They have two grandsons, William Coy Neal and Kenneth Williams Stewart.

Williams was born on January 18, 1924 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He received a BA in political science from Vanderbilt University. Williams was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a state representative from 1960 until 1984 and served in the state senate from 1988 until 1993.
