Biography
Mr. William F. Stallworth was born August 12, 1954, in Monroeville, Alabama to Reverend F. C. and Stella Stallworth. His early childhood was spent in Pensacola, Florida, where he attended segregated schools. When his family moved to Jackson, Mississippi, in the 1960s, he attended Lanier High School. And again, when his family moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, he attended Rowan High School and S. H. Blair High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education at Jackson State University.
After his graduation from college, Mr. Stallworth moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. From 1976 to 1978 he was the residential and business relocation officer for the city of Biloxi. From 1978 to 1979, he was the community development planner for the city of Biloxi. From 1979 to 1981 he was the community development specialist for the city of Biloxi. From 1981 to 1983 he was the personnel officer and voter registrar for the city of Biloxi. From 1983 to 1993, he was a councilman for the city of Biloxi. Since 1985 he has been a partner in BFS Services. And since 1992, he has been a partner in Computer and Technology Support Services. He is currently owner of Stallworth's Computer and Technology.
Mr. Stallworth's civic activities include president of the board of directors of Partners for Stennis Air Force Base; board member of Leadership Gulf Coast; vice president for economic development on the board of directors of the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce; member of the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club; member of the board of directors of the Salvation Army; member of the Mississippi Municipal Association; member of the advisory board of Job Corps; member of the board of directors of the Mental Health Association; and member of the Lions Club.
Mr. Stallworth is married to Pretta Stallworth, and they are the parents of two children. Mr. Stallworth has two children from a previous marriage. He is a member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
